The Vitamin Shoppe Supply Chain Coordinator in Secaucus, New Jersey
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director of Supply Chain with facilitating communication, reporting, third party warehouse management, and area based projects. Provide assistance to all areas within the department to deliver reporting solutions in meeting the strategic needs of the department and our business partners.
Coordinate the design, development and maintenance of communication that enhances and helps meet business requirements
Develops and coordinates communications initiatives for the Director of Supply chain Solution in order to provide accuracy and consistency in both internal and external departmental documents.
Assist in the development of key messages for purposes of communicating operational initiatives.
Perform detail-oriented work with numbers to track, capture, enter and report numeric information in databases and spreadsheets. Organize large amounts of incoming documents and information. Create filing and tracking systems to keep historical information related to warehouse management.
Work directly with VSI corporate teams, store groups, 3 rd party providers, distribution centers, and transportation providers.
Coordinate, prepare, and maintain reports and spreadsheets that support strategic business decisions.
Generate reports and spreadsheets for DC operations and management to prepare for weekly and monthly budget G & A reviews. Alter query variables in order to generate more complex or ad hoc reports.
Responsible for the timely preparation of documents such as:
Operations Flash reports
Direct Business SCAR Flash reports
Operations Dashboard and Metrics
Daily Volume Reports
Work directly with 3PL team to ensure service level are met, including problem resolution and corrective action plans
Administer, process and resolve freight claims on a weekly basis
The SC Coordinator will deal with highly confidential information on a daily basis, and must use good judgment.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work.
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office ( i.e, Excel, Word, Access, etc)
- 0-3 years of experience in DC operations/Logistics preferred
